Introducing the MUOC Mountain Bikers!
We run mountain bike rides at several major club events throughout the year including Bumbly Day Out at Lysterfield and Carnage at Buxton. These rides are beginner friendly and everyone is encouraged to give it a go! We also run a Mt Buller Trip over Easter which is aimed more at intermediate to advanced riders and features the infamous 40km Australian Alpine EPIC Trail. The Buller trip is a favourite between the club’s mountain bikers and sees lots of interest each year.
The club has ten hardtail mountain bikes which can be hired out for use on our trips, or for your own riding. This is a simple, inexpensive way to get into the sport if you don’t have a bike and want to come on some trips!
For 2018, we already have ideas for a range of events to add to the calendar including regular day trips to places such as Lysterfield and the You Yangs, bike-packing adventures, shuttle days and more! Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming trips and ride days!
